Founding Kiss drummer Peter Criss has introduced his first solo album in 18 years. Criss confirmed the message in a video assertion produced by Kiss fansite KissFAQ.
“I’ve an announcement,” says the previous Catman. “I’ve my new rock and roll album to you, Kiss Military guys, popping out within the fall, and I actually hope you prefer it, man. And I wanna say God bless to each considered one of you.”
Extra element in regards to the album is then supplied by Julian Gill, who runs KissFAQ.
“It is a laborious rock kick-ass album, co-produced by Barry Pointer, who’s labored with Ozzy, Marilyn Manson, Fred Coury, Steve Stevens, amongst others, and, in fact, John 5,” says Gill. “I used to be honoured to hearken to this album at Peter’s studio with him final night time, and it was completely superb to listen to this new music. Gill goes on to record the musicians who seem on the album, who embody guitarists present Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5 and Mike McLaughlin, who initially joined Criss’s solo band in 1994. The bass is dealt with by Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (also referred to as Piggy D.), who’s performed with the likes of Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie), whereas David Letterman’s longtime musical director Paul Shaffer performs piano and organ.
“You already know what?” asks Gill. “Peter has written some very highly effective songs right here and I am so excited so that you can hear them.”
Peter Criss’s final solo album was 2007’s One for All, which additionally featured contributions from McLaughlin, Montgomery and Shaffer.
The announcement comes forward of Criss receiving a Legacy Award at The Slicing Room in New York Metropolis this night (April 25), for his work with the Raven Drum Basis. The inspiration was based in 2001 by Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen and his spouse, therapeutic arts educator Lauren Monroe, and advocates for first responders and veterans battling post-traumatic stress.
