The First Household: Reside at Winchester Cathedral 1967 is the earliest dwell recording of the unique Household Stone line-up, a full 12 months earlier than their chart breakthrough with “Dance To The Music”.

Sly & The Household Stone served as the home band at Redwood Metropolis, CA’s Winchester Cathedral from December 16, 1966, to April 28, 1967.

The First Household: Reside at Winchester Cathedral 1967 was recorded within the early hours of March 26, 1967, by Sly & The Household Stone’s first supervisor, Wealthy Romanello.

After signing to Epic Information later that 12 months, Romanello put the 7-inch analog tapes into storage the place they sat for thirty-five years. The reels had been rediscovered in 2002 by Sly & The Household Stone archivists Edwin and Arno Konings and restored by co-producer Alec Palao for launch.
