Fifty-two years after it was first launched on Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s debut 1973 album (Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Pores and skin-‘nérd), the band have lastly launched an official video for its most iconic monitor, Free Chook.
The video, directed by Max Moore, cuts between an older man and his youthful self, wanting again with affection at a previous romance and the bike that facilitated it. Enamoured by all this nostalgia, the older man dusts down his bike, fixes it up and hits the open highway, simply in time for the guitar solo. The video can also be riddled with romantic tropes, together with a piggy-bag trip throughout a falling-in-love montage.
Director Moore has beforehand labored with Spiritbox, Code Orange, Knocked Free and lots of extra, whereas actor Mike Seely – who performs the older man – appeared as Hugh Heffner within the TV collection Pam & Tommy.
