Chrissie Hynde has launched a second track from her upcoming covers album Duets Particular, following the discharge of a model of At all times On My Thoughts with Rufus Wainwright final month.
The Pretenders star has now launched a smoky cowl of Billy Paul’s Philly soul basic Me And Mrs Jones, with Canadian singer okay.d. lang sharing the vocal duties.
“I met okay.d. on a tour we did,” says Hynde. “Very early days. It was up in Canada and we bonded proper from the beginning due to our mutual curiosity in animal welfare.”
Along with Wainwright and Lang, the album contains duets with Mark Lanegan, Lucinda Williams, Dave Gahan, Cat Energy, Carleen Anderson, Brandon Flowers, Julian Lennon, Debbie Harry, Alan Sparhawk, Shirley Manson and Dan Auerba.
