Former Worry Manufacturing unit frontman has opened up on what it was like supporting Ozzy Osbourne within the mid-90s – and a particular Black Sabbath occasion in Birmingham. Talking to the Everblack Podcast, Bell admitted the economic metallic band had their work minimize out for them.
“Worry Manufacturing unit had been opening for Ozzy already on his Retirement Sucks tour, which was, like, ’96,” Burton explains. “We did three months all through the US and Europe. And Europe was fucking powerful, as a result of we had been the one opening band and all these folks in Europe, they did not wanna see us. They only needed to see Ozzy. It wasn’t all dangerous, although. Worry Manufacturing unit clearly had their admirers in Sabbath, too. In 2024, bassist Geezer Butler defined his admiration for the group, and the way Bell ended up singing on his 1995 album Plastic Planet.
“I actually favored Worry Manufacturing unit on the time and I’d been writing all these things that was too heavy for Sabbath or Ozzy [Osbourne],” he instructed Knotfest. “Pedro [Howse, guitarist], my nephew, had this band known as Loopy Angel, who had been like an ultra-thrash band. So when me and him received writing collectively it got here out ultra-heavy, and I wasn’t restricted to what lyrics I used to be going to jot down about.
“Loads of it’s about science fiction – a bit like what’s occurring now with the AI stuff and all the things.”
Bell introduced his departure from Worry Manufacturing unit in September 2020, although he had already accomplished vocals for the album Aggression Continuum, which was launched on June 18 2021. In February 2023, Worry Manufacturing unit introduced that they had recruited Milo Silvestro as their new vocalist.
