Small Faces’ posthumous 1969 compilation The Autumn Stone will probably be reissued in expanded kind on March 28, to kick off the sixtieth anniversary celebrations of Quick Data. Curated by drummer Kenney Jones, the brand new reissue is a joint launch together with his personal Good Data.
Newly mastered by Nick Robbins, it boasts plenty of beforehand unreleased and uncommon variations of Small Faces songs, together with stripped-down acoustic mixes and reside tracks.
In addition to a regular 3-CD version, The Autumn Stone will probably be reissued as 3-LP colored vinyl box-set together with a 68-page hardback e book containing detailed sleevenotes and track-by-track recording info, illustrated with uncommon memorabilia, authentic paintings and beforehand unseen images by Small Faces photographers Tony Gale and Gered Mankowitz. The vinyl box-set boasts gold foil lettering, with the band’s title lastly restored to the entrance cowl, having been mistakenly left off on the album’s authentic 1969 launch.
