As evidenced by the “band” picture offered right here to accompany the premiere of Novarupta’s new single, “The Bullet Shines Earlier than Affect,” this Swedish act is a “collective idea,” with multi-instrumentalist Alex Stjernfeldt as its ringleader of types. Stjernfeldt has been the one fixed (together with artist Arjen Kunnen) on a four-album journey that began with 2019’s Pyroclastic Flows and is coming to an in depth with the upcoming (and ultimate) Astral Sands album. As on earlier Novarupta releases, a unique vocalist is featured on every album monitor, with Hearth vocalist Kristofer Åström contributing to the moody post-metal, gothy monitor we’re premiering right here.
