Exploring Habit, Religion, and Redemption with “Confessions of a Fallen Angel” – IndiePulse Music Journal

In his upcoming EP, “Confessions of a Fallen Angel,” HeIsTheArtist masterfully weaves the narrative of habit restoration with a Christian lens, making a transformative musical journey. By way of reinterpreted classics like Erykah Badu’s “Out My Thoughts, Simply In Time” and Billie Vacation’s “God Bless the Little one,” alongside authentic tracks, he delves into the complexities of religion, redemption, and private accountability. On this candid interview, he opens up about his inspiration, the symbolism behind the EP, and his mission to handle habit throughout the music business—all whereas staying true to his Christian roots and creative imaginative and prescient.

“Out My Thoughts, Simply in Time 2.0” is an intriguing tackle Erykah Badu’s authentic. What impressed you to reinterpret this music, and the way does it replicate the Upkeep stage of habit restoration in your EP?

Erykah Badu is certainly an artist that I look to musically. The inspiration behind the reinterpretation of the music was the extent of accountability that it showcases lyrically. Accountability in the end is what the upkeep stage of habit restoration is all about. Holding your self accountable in your poor decisions so that you don’t relapse.

Your upcoming EP, “Confessions of a Fallen Angel,” makes use of music to metaphorically discover the levels of habit restoration. What led you to take this method, and why do you assume music is a robust medium for this message?

Habit has taken the lives of so many iconic entertainers through the years, that I felt it was obligatory to handle it in music (nearly like a prayer for the business as an entire). My objective for this EP is to alter the vitality of the business and to in the future hopefully rid the business of habit for good.

The title of your EP is drawn from the biblical story of Lucifer as a fallen angel. How does this theme of redemption and restoration tie into your Christian mission and your private journey?**

All of us make errors, at the same time as Christians; the EP is extra of a reminder of God’s grace. The EP is most significantly about my Christian mission to teach the general public that God will assist you up whenever you fall in the event you ask him for help.

A number of tracks in your EP, like “God Bless the Little one 2.0” and “Typically 2.0,” are reinterpretations of iconic songs. How do these covers complement your authentic music and the narrative arc of habit restoration?

As a way to really perceive the connection you would need to hearken to the EP so as on the album, as a result of every music performs a fancy metaphorical half on the EP.

The checklist beneath briefly sums up every observe’s symbolism within the habit restoration cycle:

Observe 1 – Sympathy Sonata (Rock Rhapsody) Corresponding Habit Restoration Stage – Stage 1 Pre-contemplation Stage
Observe 2 – God Bless the Little one 2.0 (Billie Vacation Cowl) Corresponding Habit Restoration Stage – Stage 2 Contemplation Stage
Observe 3 – Parted Waves Corresponding Habit Restoration Stage Stage 3 Preparation Stage
Observe 4 – Typically 2.0 (Britney Spears Cowl) Corresponding Habit Restoration Stage Stage 4 Motion Stage
Observe 5 – Out My Thoughts, Simply In Time (Erykah Badu Cowl) Corresponding Habit Restoration Stage Stage 5 Upkeep Stage

As a former neo-soul artist, how has your transition to Christian music influenced your songwriting course of, notably for “Confessions of a Fallen Angel”?

It was undoubtedly a simple transition, particularly as a result of Neo-Soul singers have a tendency to debate religious matters of their music anyway. Neo-soul is a really introspective style, and I used this method in songwriting for the EP, which enabled me to get the basis emotions concerned in habit restoration.

Habit restoration is a deeply private and emotional journey. How do you hope listeners will join with the EP, and what message do you need them to remove?

I hope listeners join with it in an empathetic means and as a motivational software for these fighting habit. I hope the listeners take away from EP the data that all of us have struggles; it simply issues that we attempt day by day to enhance our lives.

Your profession has seen exceptional success, together with chart-topping singles throughout genres. How does your religion affect your creative course, and the place do you see your music taking you subsequent after this EP?

My religion guides me in my artistry, which in impact makes my creative course at all times embody making God first in all my decisions. My subsequent launch after this EP can be a Christian cowl of “Loopy for You” by Madonna (giving a real Christian rebirth to an artist’s music who was at one time boycotted by John Paul II).
