Toronto punk favourites PUP are coming again throughout the Pond this Might for a string of dates throughout the UK and Europe.
Kicking off in Birmingham on Might 7, the 18-date tour will wrap up in San Sebastian, Spain, on Might 30. Coming off the band of their stint supporting Jimmy Eat World final November, this can be PUP’s first headline run of the UK since 2022.
The tour information comes alongside the discharge of Paranoid, the primary new music from the band in two years, and a reasonably spectacular music video filled with little easter eggs. It is even filmed vertically as a result of no one has time to show their cellphone any extra.
“My favorite a part of this music is the breakdown 1:45 in,” says frontman Stefan Babcock. “At any time when we try to do a heavy breakdown with catchy vocals we find yourself sounding just like the world’s worst melodic hardcore band. However by some means it labored on this music. I feel as a result of it’s so intense in that second that it’s really type of humorous and a bit arduous to take significantly. There’s some humour in that and the way it performs towards what I’m yelling about in a means I actually like. Plus Nestor [Chumak, bass] performs the melody from The Lion Sleeps Tonight on the bass on the heaviest second within the music which actually cracks me up each time I hear it.”
