UK loss of life steel stalwarts INGESTED at this time drop their new stand-alone single, “Nefarious Tongues.”
Lyrically, the punishing monitor explores the decay of morality in a world consumed by self-importance and self-interest. It displays on the way in which society devours itself by ego and exploitation, as if we’re willingly feeding the very forces that may destroy us. It’s each a condemnation and a reminder of how simply we will lose sight of what really issues.
Musically, it blends trendy loss of life steel riffing with hardcore-infused grooves, delivered at a measured mid-tempo that lets the riffs and drums breathe whereas giving house for the vocals to chop by with full influence. The construction stays tight and purposeful, constructing towards pointed, heavy-hitting moments that hit with absolute finality.
