Hear: Tralalas – “Burns” –


Danish challenge TRALALAS, the dark-pop endeavor of songwriter Morten Alsinger, channels a cinematic, nocturnal depth on new single “Burns.” Following July’s putting debut “Winter on the Vine,” this second launch deepens the challenge’s exploration of human fragility and shifting feelings, evoking a brooding attract paying homage to Tom Waits at his most shadowy. Gravelly vocals, organ backdrops, and twang-tinged guitar tones entwine with haunted poetics, setting the stage for the challenge’s forthcoming debut album this autumn.

A slight backing organ glows as a twangy guitar mystique unveils itself. Light percussive pit-patter enhances a foreboding vocal feeling, as a gravelly lead and chilly backing vocal intertwining set free: “After I stroll again to her, like I do.” The vocals hang-out of their regular tone — lamenting “like a flame, I acquired burnt” — because the guitars ascend with vibrant heightening and the organs linger with a blaring high quality. “So it goes, like a weight and not using a stone,” they proceed, depicting a remaining shot at redemption as “she throws me a bone” — after which into a tasty remaining minute with whirring guitar wailing and haunting organ-laden chills. “Burns” is a totally resonating success from Tralalas, leaving us totally anticipating the challenge’s forthcoming album.
